1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Biswasoft ("Biswasoft", "we", "us"), the company that owns and operates CareerNova AI ("CareerNova AI", the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing a plan or credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Refund Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

If you use the Service for an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

2. User Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher.
• Provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date. You may sign up with an email address and password or with Google.
• Keep your password confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account, so tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use.
• One person may not share an account with others, and you may not create accounts to avoid limits or a suspension.

3. Subscription Plans

• CareerNova AI offers a Free plan and paid plans. Each plan's price, resume limit, AI credits and features are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout.
• A paid plan is purchased for a billing period, monthly or yearly where a yearly option is shown. It activates once we confirm your payment.
• You can cancel at any time from Plans & Billing. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep paid access until the end of the period you already paid for. If automatic renewal is offered for your payment method, it is stated at checkout.
• We may add, change or retire plans and features. Changes apply to new purchases and renewals. They never reduce what you have already paid for in the current period, and a retired plan continues for current subscribers until their period ends.

4. Billing and Payments

• Prices are shown before tax. GST or other applicable taxes are added at checkout and shown separately before you pay.
• Payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers. We do not store your full card or bank details. By paying, you authorise the charge of the total shown.
• After a successful payment we issue a tax invoice. It is emailed to you and available under Invoice History in Plans & Billing.
• If a payment fails or is not confirmed, your plan or credits are not activated and you are not charged for that order.
• You are responsible for giving correct billing details and for any fees charged by your bank or card issuer.

5. AI Credits

• AI features such as summaries, cover letters, ATS suggestions, interview preparation and AI resume improvement use AI credits. The number of credits each feature uses is set by us and may change.
• Monthly credits are included with your plan. They reset at the start of each billing period, and unused monthly credits do not roll over.
• Credits are deducted only when an AI request completes successfully. A request that fails does not use credits.
• Monthly credits are used first, then any credits you have purchased.
• Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for money except as the Refund Policy provides.
• Attempting to bypass or manipulate credit accounting is a breach of these Terms.

6. Credit Top-Ups

• You can buy extra AI credits in packs (top-ups) when your monthly credits run out. The pack size and price are shown, with tax, before you pay.
• Credits from a top-up are added to your account when payment succeeds. They do not expire, and they are used only after your monthly credits are used up.
• Top-up credits stay with the account that bought them and are not affected when your plan renews or changes.
• Refunds for top-ups follow the Refund Policy.

7. Refund Policy References

Subscription purchases and AI credit purchases are refunded according to our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund right you have under applicable consumer law.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• provide false, fraudulent or misleading information, or impersonate any person or organisation;
• upload content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, hateful or malicious;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, scrape or reverse-engineer the Service, or to circumvent security, usage limits or credit accounting;
• use bots or other automated means to access the Service, or resell or sublicense access to it, without our written permission;
• use the Service, or anything generated with it, to break any law or the rights of others.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence to draft text and suggestions, including summaries, rewritten experience, cover letters, skill suggestions, ATS and job-match insights, and interview questions and answers.

10. Resume and Cover Letter Content Ownership

You own the resumes, cover letters and other content you create on CareerNova AI, including content you drafted with the help of AI features, to the extent the law allows. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, for example to generate your documents, run analyses and publish a portfolio page you choose to make public. We do not sell your content. You can delete it at any time.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the content you provide, including any photo and any third-party information in it.

11. Intellectual Property

CareerNova AI owns the platform, software and templates, together with the Service's design, text, graphics, logos and branding. These belong to Biswasoft and its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable right to use the Service and its templates to create your own documents. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse-engineer the Service or its templates except as the Service allows. "CareerNova AI" and "Biswasoft" are our names and marks, and these Terms give you no right to use them.

12. Privacy References

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use and protect it, including how content you submit is processed by AI providers, and the choices you have. By using the Service you acknowledge that you have read it.

13. Service Availability

We work to keep CareerNova AI available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. The Service may be unavailable from time to time because of maintenance, updates, problems with third-party providers (including AI, email and payment providers) or events outside our control. We may modify or discontinue features, and we will try to give notice of significant changes. Please keep your own copy of documents you cannot afford to lose.

14. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. To that extent, Biswasoft is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, data, opportunities or employment, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event that gave rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

15. Account Suspension and Termination

• You may stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time.
• We may suspend or terminate an account, with notice where reasonable, if you breach these Terms, put the Service or other users at risk, use it fraudulently, or if we are required to by law.
• When an account is terminated your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should continue to apply (such as ownership, liability and governing law) will continue.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Biswasoft is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern informally.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service, the law or our business changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you by email or within the Service before they take effect. If you continue to use the Service after the changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you should stop using the Service and may close your account.
